Man arrested for breaking in own home?
In Boston, a woman saw a man attempting to break in a front door and called the police. The Cambridge police department arrived to question him (he was in his home)and he explained he had trouble unlocking the door because it was jammed. He was booked for disorderly conduct after “exhibiting loud and tumultuous behavior,” according to a police report. Gates accused the investigating officer of being a racist and told him he had "no idea who he was messing with,'' the report said.
Friends of Gates said he was already in his home when police arrived. He showed his driver's license and Harvard identification card, but was handcuffed and taken into police custody for several hours last Thursday, they said
The incident raised concerns among some Harvard faculty that Gates was a victim of racial profiling. (I agree)
Henry Louis Gates Jr.(58) is the W.E.B. Du Bois Professor of the Humanities, the chair of Afro-American Studies and the director of the W.E.B. Du Bois Institute for Afro-American Research at Harvard University.
The professor was charged with disorderly conduct and released for a $40 fee. Gates is scheduled to be arraigned on a single charge of disorderly conduct Aug. 26 at Cambridge District Court in Medford. The maximum penalty Gates faces if convicted is a $150 fine.

Hmmm...
Richard Jefferson of the Spurs, is in the news for breaking up with his fiance a few days before the wedding. But, over a hundred guest did not get the memo. He did however lend his AMEX to a friend to treat the guest to a night of fun sans him.
This has caused me to wonder about other wedding 'mishaps' around the world. So I will do some digging and get back to you!

$Quadrillion dollar credit card bill$
John Seale from Texas had a balance of $23,148,855,308,184,500.00 on his credit card statement. (I had to really concentrate to say that #, u?) Which is more than 2,000x the national debt. The amount was supposedly charged at Wolfgang Puck Restaurant were he had dinner.
Another guy in New Hampshire found a $23 quadrillion charge also after buying a pack of cigarettes from a gas station.
Visa said the technical glitch that resulted in the giant charge only affected some customers with prepaid Visa cards. All fees (including overdrafts) will be removed. -----Damn Straight!

Cordon Bleu
A quick recipe to share:
You will need:
Boneless skinless chicken breast
Swiss cheese
Sliced ham
Bacon
tooth picks
1st take a piece of chicken cover with a slice of swiss cheese, than slice of ham, another piece of swiss.
Then roll all pieces together to center of chicken, place a toothpick and continue to roll into a circle. Once circle is made, wrap one (or two) slice(s) of bacon to the outerpiece. (Don't use more than 4 toothpicks)
Place on a cookie sheet covered with aluminum foil.
Bake at 400---one side for 30mins then turn for an additional 30 mins.
A good side item would be mashed potatoes, green beans, etc...
A BETTER you
Here's an article I found on Yahoo! that has great tips on how to keep your job. Something that stuck out to me was that Healthy people have an better outlook on things and are 'easier' to be around. Their also calmer and more productive. I'm not the fittest person by any means, but when I do workout, I feel great! I'm more determined to do other things throughout the day. This article has 9 other tips. Check it out....

Starting out
This actually suppose to be about how I hate (kinda) my job. But I will save that for another day. I read several blogs, several times a day. So I decided to give this a shot. I read several books a month. Therefore I'm working on that too. ;)
A little bit about me. My name is Brandi, I currently reside in Ga. I'm an easy going person, who is trying to build up my resume, which is why I moved to Georgia in the 1st place. I manage a store that I relocated to for my job. I have a Bachelors degree in Management from a HBCU. I'm 25 years fabulous, have a boyfriend of nearly 3 years now, no kids, a younger brother and both my parents have been on drugs for 17 years.
Also, feel free to communicate whatev with me. I'm no counselor, but I've been through so much, that I could help out.
Jumping to next subject. I'm not sure what I will blog about. But it will definitely be a mix for u, let's see: my life, headlines, some celebs, facts I feel you should know, and any (maybe all) suggestions you may have. Let's do this.
